Underwhelming for what you pay. I added 0.5 of a rating for the quirky interior. Food is a solid 3. Found the dishes to be more misses than hits. You would get better quality at Brooklyn on the strand. The plum dessert was delicious. Mains were okay.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience . From the correct way they were serving meals and taking orders. Very quiet and polished place with kind staff..The food was spectacular! All the flavours married well and there is definately pride in those dishes. It has definately been a long time since something in tauranga has left speechless in terms of cuisine. Amazing
Excellent ambience, staff were very polished and friendly. Very helpful for two of our party who had special dietary requirements and suggested suitable options for their mains. The food was absolutely awesome! Could not be faulted. We will certainly tell friends and come back here again.
Ten of us tried the Post Bank earlier tonight. We tried a good selection of the starters and the mains. The outstanding dishes were the salmon starter, the pork belly main, the black Doris plum tart and the cauliflower side dish. The service was great and they would have got a five but the kitchen took ages to do the deserts and they only had two of the four cheeses available. We will definitely be back.
A beautiful and quaint café. My husband and I had a lovely time here. The ambiance of the place was brilliant and loved how we were given menus in the forms of envelopes and each course was titled as different chapters of a book. Definitely pleased my inner geek.Food was also delicious, I had the beetroot gnocchi and am itching to come back to the Mount to have some more
Came for dessert! Raspberry dark chocolate centred fondant! With vanilla ice cream and berry sauce. Was very rich but nice 20min wait time to cook, but can always wait for chocolate!
A wet summer’s day at the Mount and we sought shelter and sustenance at this cute oldy worldly beautifully presented restaurant and bar.The Red Leicester cheese drizzled with a dash of honey served with crackers, thinly sliced apple, sugared walnuts, grapes and fruit jelly was so good! Fantastically presented and complemented the glass of Pinot Noir well. A perfect way to spend an afternoon. Would love to dine here sometime as the menu looked tempting. The ambience is so cosy that it is hard to leave to embrace a bit of retail therapy! Perhaps we’ll just have another Wine.
