Seafood now so fresh, lots of flies. The steaks were made fresh, yummy sirloin and venison. The lamb was delicious too. For dessert I loved the ice cold vanilla icecream and hot custard. Delicious. Most of the items were mediocre and I stayed away. Service: 4/5Presentation: 3/5 Environment: 0/5 (flies)Food Quality: 3/5Food Quantity: 5/5Price per person: $49
Pretty good buffet, might be the best buffet in Rotorua. Seafood lamb chicken beef veges. So many can choose. Dessert which is the surprise part of this buffet. Must try.
My daughter booked in advance but there was still a wait for the tables to be put together,we were seated at front and had children, near the back for the play area would have been better, we didn’t realize there was even a play area there. People arrived 10-15 minutes after us,same meals as ours were delivered before ours and a huge wait.Staff didn’t make us aware there would be a salad with our kiddies meal and we ordered a second one??A utensil was dropped on my clothing. The following day I phoned and discussed our disappointment with a person, he told me he would pass this on to the correct person, this was on the 22nd December.Jenny S
Great selection of foods and specialist dishes. Staff were knowledgable and gave good reviews on the Brancott Estate Flight as well as the Boundary. Great to have church rd on the wine list.Whilst I do not usually dine ala cart, I was pleased to be here and have the opportunity to taste so many dishes. Love the booths of seating and ambiently lit room. Definitely return again soon.
We ate here as we were staying in the hotel and the menu sounded good, it was the last night of our holiday and we decided to treat ourselves. What we treated ourselves to was an episode out of Hells Kitchen. We were one of four tables when we arrived just after 6 pm, all with young children. Our table and the table next to us watched other tables come in, eat and leave while still waiting for our orders. We were offered complimentary beverages which we accepted gratefully, however they couldn’t even deliver those to us. 90 minutes after ordering we received our meals and they were not of the quality you would expect for the price. The wait staff were very apologetic and we did dine for free, but would not chance it again.
We recently ate here but were very disappointed with range offered for a Saturday night buffet. Many of the platters were empty and not being refilled, and it was only 7.30pm. It took nearly 1/2 an hour to be seen by the drinks waiter and then about 15mins to get drinks. And it wasn’t very busy. My daugther enjoyed the mussels and there was a good variety for desert. Hopefully it isn’t always this way, but disappointing for a first visit there.
We use to eat here regularly and really enjoyed it. 2002 – 2008. We have gone back 4 times in 2009-2010 with the experiences getting worse each time. The food quality is so bad and tasteless it is not worth the energy it takes to chew it. Go to the Regent Hotel around the corner, its only a block away and the food there is sublime.
