Very disappointed.Waitese offered $89 for 2 adults and 2 childrens to us. We went into the restaurant there are not more than 10 tables sitted.First, tried oysters and prawns. Prawns taste like water and oysters not frest and very dry. Then tried tasteless sushi and roasted vegetables. I don’t feel hungry anymore because of disappointed foods they offer.Usually all of the hotels will provide a bowl of water for you to wash your fingers. But not this hotel. No one take your plates as well.Hot foods only options of BBQ Beef, lamb, roasted vegetables, some type of seafoods
As a cabin crew who stays here fairly often, I can confirm the variety of food caters to most, or if not all dietary requirements and other special dietary needs. Skip the scrambled eggs, and get fresh ones made as an omelette, poached or fried. I’m not a fan of the mass produced scrambled eggs that’s been sitting there for a while, cold. I always enjoy and recommend the noodles, dumplings (not always available), crispy bacon, poached eggs (made to order at the egg bar), and the juice bar where you can make your own fruit and vege juice. Four stars for the customer service and variety, but it’s a shame the food is more often cold than not. Otherwise its busy, bustling, with families, couples and those travelling alone or in a group for business. It caters for everyone. A good selection of continental (toasts, breads, cereals with an array of toppings and spreads), cold meats and cheeses, fresh salads, cooked options including the standard hash browns, sausages and bacon. Milk options including heavy cream, full and trim, as well soy. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for a buffet breakfast. There isn’t any other similar establishments like this in Rotorua.
