We had dinner here on a Saturday evening. We were seated right away by the staff. They were friendly. We had the $30 three course meal. It was worth it. The chef came out to check on us which was really nice. But they seem to be less of staff. We had a little wait of the our last course. Overall experience was good.

Great service from staff. They ttended professionally to the return of a steak and showed compassion to my dining guest around a food allergy. I will be sure to call in again. The food was excellent.

Went for breakfast mid Sunday morning with the husband and kids. One of the nicest breakfasts I have ever had. The prices were reasonable and although they had run out of the kids activity menus, they provided paper and colouring in pencils for my daughter. The restaurant was lovely and warm. The only comment was we weren’t sure if they were actually open for breakfast when we arrived as they were empty. Other people streamed in as they saw us sitting in the restaurant, so an open for breakfast sign or note on the blackboard could help

Pretty average. Quite expensive iced chocs $8 and not that great! Needs work on interior as well as it’s all very random. Staff seemed nice enough

Went to solace a couple of times for breakfast while we were in Rotorua for the weekend as pretty much everything on the menu was gluten free or had a gluten free option and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was a bit lacking, but I’m not sure you can really do much on Eat Street. xoxbubbles.com

Terrible meal and service. Arrived at 9.50am for brunch. Easiest way to review this is to list everything that resulted in an awful experience.1) Waited for ages to be seated/greeted. No one ever came near us even though they could see we were waiting. In the end we just sat down at a table that had not been cleared of plates etc. When the waitress finally cleared it she did not wipe the table down so there were food spills still on the table.2) We had to ask for everything, menus, water, cutlery. When we asked the waitress if we could order she said we couldn’t order from her, we had to order from someone else. It then took some time for the other waitress to arrive to take our order.3) The service was sooooooo slow and unfriendly.4) The food was very, very average. One of our group sent the blueberry pancakes back as they were hard, stale and tasteless. He then ordered scrambled eggs or egg should I say as when it arrived the portion was so small it was gone in two mouthfuls. The toast was as hard as concrete and not served with any butter. The coffee was bitter.5) One of our group wanted to order the muesli. She was told they had run out and had to order something else.6) When we were paying the bill we gave the waitress our feedback on how awful the meal was. She really could not have cared in the least and had no idea how to handle such feedback and it did not appear that there was any manager on site so it is doubtful that any feedback would have been passed on.All in all this was one of the worst meals I have ever had. The most disappointing thing about the whole experience was that the 6 of us had gone out to enjoy a lovely meal together and we spent the whole time talking about what an awful place it was. It was too late to just walk out of the place and go somewhere else as we had already placed our orders and the food was on its way.

Terrible experience, went here for dinner for my 30th, took forever for our drinks to arrive, I ended up going to get them myself, only to find them sitting on a tray at the bar, entrees were average, mains were passable apart from my chicken stack which was terrible, dry hard chicken, the rest was disgusting, terrible experience would never go there again
