We enjoyed breakfast here on our last trip to Ohope, lovely location just opposite the beach, nice spot to sit at the side of the cafe where you can see the beach through the park and is very relaxing.. I have a big breakfast with poached eggs, which was cooked well, with a nice balance, not overloaded with bread like some. Great Barrister the coffee was good nice flavor and made well, I like a macchiato and had just the right amount of foam. We’ll be back for sure.

We had the pleasure of dining here on Sunday. My fiance had the big breakfast and I had bacon and eggs with extra tomato. Both of the meals were absolutely delicious, cooked incredibly well and were larger than we had anticipated. I also had a mocca and it came with a jaffa and a whittakers chocolate bar. Simply heaven! The only reason I have removed a point is due to being charged $2 for half of a tomato and for the tables taking a little while to be cleared. It wouldn’t be such a problem if the seagulls weren’t fighting for the food.Overall I would definitely dine here again.

We were very disappointed at our visit last weekend. We drove past an hour and a half before closing time, but the tables and chairs were being packed up. That’s not so bad, but standing at the counter for 2 1/2 minutes before being acknowledged is. So while one staff member was packing tables early, the other was making coffee. It’s an easy thing to say hello, and that you’ll be with us in a minute. That aside, we ordered a coffee and a milkshake to takeaway. The milkshake came in a medium sized paper coffee cup, with the straw stuffed through the cup lid drinking portal. It cost $7.50, which is more than you pay for a milkshake over twice the size in Auckland. Extremely unreasonable pricing. The coffee was okay, but the girl who served us must have been having a bad day, because she was not friendly either, despite being warmly greeted, asked how her day was, thanked, and then told to have a nice day. Shame, because it’s in a great location 🙁

We stopped for breakfast and only tried the omelets and it was well worth it. The service was very friendly and it is a great place to sit in the sun enjoying your coffee.Worth a stop followed by a walk along the beach.
