Good cafe, lovely fit out and amazing food with nice coffee. One of the best place for breakfast n lunch meals, the only downside was to find a carpark. We ordered smashed avocado and Waffles, the waffles tasted fresh n crisp a must try.
We ordered 2 coffees, fries and a brownie.Pros:The brownie was nice, rich and decadent. The rest of the cabinet food also looks great they had a few options of raw slices which looked delicious myChips were really tasty too and came out fast.Cons:Not only did the friends arrive before the coffees, they arrived once we’d finished eating. Taking over 30 minutes to come out was a little bit ott, there was a decent amount of people in the cafe but not a lot of coffees we’re going out.The coffee was also really burnt, i was super disappointed! I love Kokako coffee but it tasted really sour and burnt.I will be back for the cabinet food but will avoid getting coffee from here again.
I was visiting Tauranga for a couple of days and this place was recommended by a local, so naturally had high hopes. Unfortunately I left disappointed. My coffee was lukewarm and the crispy tofu dish lacked flavour. The place has pleasant ambience but service was mediocre. Meh overall – hope this is not a true representation of the cafe standard in Tauranga.
Went into Elizabeth for a takeaway coffee today because I’d heard they did Kōkako coffee. The coffee was good but it took 22 MINUTES for a takeaway coffee when they weren’t busy. Wasn’t particularly impressed, even if the coffee was good
Great tasting coffee and friendly service. The parking arrangements were intimidating and I had to pay $2 for 15 mins – so $8 all up for a coffee. I’d come back for a special occasion not for a regular coffee stop.
Had the vietnamese pho, others had big breakfast and eggs bene, and also fries. Everything was delicious, delivered quickly, and the coffee was amazing. Would definitely come back
Great food! I had the waffles and they were delicious 🙂 my mum and sister had the avocado on toast and they loved it. My dad had the full elizabeth and he thought it was really good. The potato rostis were delicious. Ice chocolate was good but the coffee was a bit weak. Definitely would recommend, the staff were lovely.
