Been a few times had a really nice breakfast here. Food is great and coffee is fantastic. The bread used for the toast is particularly good! Nice relaxed atmosphere inside. Really cool independent cafe with friendly staff.
Some cabinet food is not made fresh everyday. Desserts we had were quite hard when it is not the intended texture. Some items in the warming cabinet are also quite stale. Certain sammies and wraps are okay. Order freshly cooked. The seating area is quite skinny so not suitable for large groups. Usually see grandmothers and their grandchildren there.
Very poor customer service at the counter, very rude and abrupt. The woman who served us was completely uninterested in helping us (we were from out of town) and very inhospitable. When we complained the boss didn’t seem to know what she was doing and didn’t offer much of an apology or refund. The menu was pitiful at most, not a very good selection for a ‘cafe’ and my milkshake was warm. Worst cafe experience I have ever had, I will never go back there again.
