Stopped in for some lunch yesterday and ordered the crispy chicken. The salad was fresh and tasty and the chicken was cooked perfectly and came with the most devine mayo. Good wine list. Service was fast and friendly, will be returning to try some of the other good looking dishes on the menu.
Me and my girlfriend tried to have lunch here today because it was the only woodfire pizza place I could find in town. Not sure why you’d call yourself an ‘Eatery’ when you need ID on the door to buy food at lunch service. As far as I know you have the same on-license as every other place on the strand so why are you rejecting customers for lunch at 1:30 in an empty eatery
Cool spot! Has a really nice ambiance, downstairs a kind of bar seating area and upstairs looked to be a more dining seating area. I stayed downstairs and got a few drinks and a couple pizzas. Really good service lovely lady seated and served us. Drinks and food came out quickly. Pizza I thought could have a tad more topping on it, crust was a little dry and large for my taste but I’m not the biggest fun of crusts usually. Was an okay pizza, pretty pricey.
Jan 2017.After work drinks, chips and pizza.Staff were great ! Large group of us, we were able to sit out under the sun and they did a great job.Food was good, although $9.50 for a small fries is pricey, even for a bar.Pizza’s were good, only that the same tables got the same pizza instead of sharing the three different varieties between the three lots of tables.
Had my birthday dinner here on Sunday night and could not find a fault. Very impressed with the service and food. The location is beautiful, overlooking the Tauranga Waterfront. The cocktail menu is to die for and the food was amazing. We had the smoked cheddar arancini balls, fried chicken and chicken pizza. Exceeded my expectations!
The Strand is just booming with amazing, vibey hangouts with great food & drink options, and Brooklyn is a stand-out gem. We had some quick after-work pizzas and wine with a side of their gorgeously soft, yet crispy wavy fries (oh my yum)! The pizzas are super light and so tasty, with a crunchy thin base that makes it feel oh-so gourmet (and also lets you eat more without feeling guilty) and the house wine was great, although a tad expensive. We sat outside on the upstairs deck and enjoyed stunning views. Will definitely be visiting again soon. Exactly what Tauranga needs!!! I came here when I was home for a weekend a few weeks ago and I looooved it, I came here with my family and the waitress we had was amazing – We’re not the quietest bunch but she was great, kept the food coming and the drinks coming. We ordered the Ceviche, the Beetroot and walnut dish, the pork belly, the fish sliders and a chocolate tart for dessert. (I’m sure that there was definitely some more dishes in there that I can’t quite remember haha) The food was beautiful, couldn’t fault it. The only minor issue being that we ordered a plate of the pea and halloumi fritters that unfortunately never arrived. They’ve got great upstairs seating, both indoor and outdoor, which isn’t common for places within Tauranga city so that’s a definite advantage for them. If you’re ever stuck in Tauranga with no where to eat, like I have been many a time, go to Brooklyn i swear it’s amazing.
