OMG the food was disgusting, I was dissatisfied with how greasy the slob was and if the food was bad enough the waiting time is unbearable, we were originally told the food was going to take 20 mins but ended up taking 1 hour and 20 mins. WHAT A JOKE

It is incredibly cheap for the quality. We had the most eloquent and delicious meal at this restaurant. The front staffs were personable and knowledgeable of the menu and very nice to us.
I don’t normally write reviews, but after our fantastic dining experiences at Angelo’s Pizza in Waihi Beach I felt it necessary to do one. I noticed that previous reviews were somewhat negative, but our experiences were exceptional. In late December and early January a whole group of us holidayed at Waihi Beach, we found the food to be of exceptional quality, we had from their normal burgers to jumbo burger (which was humungous), chicken that tops any chicken I’ve tasted in Auckland to their very tasty pizzas and not forgetting their delicious, addictive chips. We found all the food to be very tasty, well cooked and well presented. Considering they were extremely busy, I found the staff to be very friendly and professional. What really struck us all was the cleanliness, particularly for that time of the year (them being so busy). The kids looked forward to going to Angelos after being at the beach for their awesome milkshakes and of course a game of mini golf which is right next door (how convenient). In comparison to restaurants in Auckland I found their prices to be reasonable especially for their high standard of food. Unfortunately I am only rating them 4 stars which is very good, in my book 5 stars would be perfection and as far as I’m concerned no restaurant can be perfect, so this would be the closest to perfect. I highly recommend Angelos and look forward to visiting them when at Waihi Beach in the future.
This place was great. Was at the beach all day with a group of friends. We got hungry so decided to go to Angelo’s as a couple of my friends had been there the day before. We ordered some chips and a couple pizzas. Even though it was quite expensive the chips were fantastic, LOVE the salt they put on. The pizzas tasted great, however could have had some more chicken on the BBQ chicken pizza. We waited about 20 minutes for our food which was a decent waiting timeWould definitely go back especially for those chips!
Went here for lunch with my sister yesterday. She said they made the best pizzas so thought why not give it a try. WELL worst mistake ever!!! Owners have changed since my sister last went and the combo deals were rather overpriced but got one – two regular(which means SMALL)pizzas, hot chips and a 1.5lt drink. We got two different pizzas one being the chicken and the other being the meat lovers. The hot chips we got in the combo were FANTASTIC best I have had in awhile and the pizza toppings were OK but it was the base that really made it BAD! They did not use a fresh base they used a base from the supermarket that was rubbery and DID NOT complement the pizza toppings at all. I could have made these pizzas at home with my own base for a lot cheaper! Also another BIG down fall of this restaurant that made us nearly walk out (but with my sister being pregnant all she wanted was pizza so we stayed) was the fact that we were greeted at the door by a very fluffy yapping dog that wanted to bite our ankles and then a very fluffy cat is sitting on a stool where customers should sit??? I would highly recommend that you do not eat here as it is not worth the money you pay and really do you want cat or dog hair or other feces in your meal? I think NOT!
Very very good take away.Always the freshest ingredientsand best service. Pizza are a 10 and burgers are some of the best I’ve had!LOVE it!!
