Had hotcakes and mocha..last Wednesday for lunch it was just awesome..very friendly staff..nice beach side cafe with good views. Will recommend to all. Will come again.
Fantastic little cafe, very cool. Pretty much the embodiment of a cute beach front cafe. Lovely food, very large portions and good service. Only downside was that the coffee was single shot and not double, but thanks for serving the water separately for the long black!
Went here with my parents for breakfast. The food tasted great and was so filling I nearly couldn’t finish it. The coffee tasted good and the staff seemed friendly.The parking was a bit packed however being by the beach it is to be expected.All in all would go back
Awesome food and service, don’t know how anyone can have anything bad to say about this place! The food came out exceptionally fast and was so delicious i would reccomend this place to everyone looking for a satisfying meal! Especially the east/west pizza which I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed and my wife had the thai green chicken curry which she said was the best she has ever had. And what completed our meal was the friendly bubbly waitress who greeted us and made us feel so welcome, hope you are around when we come back for the summer, thanks sharon! Jack and Lena
We went to Flatwhite Cafe for lunch and dinner over 2 consecutive days in early July this year (2012). We were so impressed with the food and the service on both occasions. Andy (the owner) couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a fantastic time. Really appreciated the experience. Cheers!
Have been here a few times while we’ve stayed in Waihi Beach over the years. Lovely food and pretty good coffee, cool atmosphere. The staff are generally really helpful and friendly. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush though because everything takes an age to be served! As is the way with Beach towns I guess, but today we waited 20 mins for our coffee and 50 mins for our lunch with no apology. Was delicious but could have driven to Tauranga and got lunch sooner.Cheers JH
Nice cafe located next to the beach with parking out the front. Plenty of seats in the sun on the deck.We found the service to be helpful and efficient. I was a bit disappointed that I did not get hit on, as per the review below as it was the main reason we went.Both the salad and pizza we ordered were simple and fresh. The smoothie’s are good.Worth a stop if you are driving past.
