Feb 2019Pizzas are amazing !! Home made bases, for the non vegos the vege one is actually very very nice !! Slightly pricey, but definitely worth it. Nice bar area to hang and have a couple of quiets inside, great seating area outside too. Pool tables as well. Will return.
Have dined here a few times & always been satisfied until now.We had pre booked approx. 10 days prior. When we arrived it was obvious that they were expecting a large group & the waitress showed us to a table very close to a corner wall. I said it was not suitable as 2 of us are 6ft tall plus & we would have been very cramped. The waitress found us another table & within 5 minutes we were seated. She gave us the menus but failed to ask if we wanted any drinks. One of the younger waitresses on duty came to take our food order & then we had to ask for drinks. She said well we are a bit busy right now, everythings happening at once & we would have to wait. We were flabbergasted!! The barmaid served us with the drinks & then the meals arrived. You couldn’t fault the food but the two younger waitresses had sour faces on all night as if they didn’t want to be there. When we asked to see the dessert menu again we were told we would have to wait as they had run out of menus?? Shocked to say the least. Need to employ more experienced staff & print some more menus.
My friend and I were undecided where to eat this evening, 17th Oct, we went into the Forta Leza which has a rather dingy look but we have in the past had an OK meal, this evening we ordered a bottle of Pinot Gris, the waitress, said they don’t have after asking at the bar, the other Pinot Gris they had on the list they didn’t have either so she said the bar staff suggested another that they had, a Chardonnay, we refused this but chose two glasses of another, we ordered both a lamb burger, within minutes the food appeared, we were impressed, however once biting into the burger it was plain to see it was still uncooked and frozen, disappointed again we called the waitress whom offered either to recook it at a reduced price or a new choice of menu, we said re cook it at the reduction please, when we went to pay the bar staff was adamant that the chef Hayden would not allow a discount as they gave us a new complete burger, where in the world would you be treated in such a shoddy manner and way,we were not even offered a desert on us or a free drink. these people deserve to be shut down. Sorry but if that’s they way you treat your customers, offer them a badly cooked meal then expect your customers to come back again for more, not us, take heed folks, what goes on in the kitchen no one knows, as for lamb burgers a frozen patty for $16 was a joke, mind you we did get oven chips too.
Could not believe a restaurant in the year 2013 could serve food at such a high price with such shocking quality. We both ordered Surf and Turf $34 each. Meal was scotch fillet steak, prawns and scallops with chips and salad. the prawns (4) and scallops (3) were on skewers stuck into the steak. The prawns were more the size of shrimps and the scallops the size of a 10 cent piece and overcooked and tasteless – have tasted better cardboard. The steak was gristly, managed to get a mouthful of meat out of the lot. Ordered rare and received what looked and tasted like stewed. The highlight of the meal was the chips. To top it of ordered a bottle wine that was just plonked on the table and not even offered to poor!!
Fantastic place to dine, very warm & relaxed atmosphere, the meals were amazing and big and they had such a great range of seafood dishes we were spoilt for choice, the staff were great very chatty & friendly we will definatley be going back again !
On Sunday evening of the 27th March we made an appointment to have a Roast Dinner at this establishment. There was a time frame for this dinning We arrived on time were seated but had to wait toooo long for our drinks. The food was delicious. When we asked for further drinks we were told the bar was very busy.Only one serving. At no time did the waitress come to see if we needed any thing and we had to go to the bar ourselves.Over $90 was spent but with a little service we could have spent much more. Thankyou for a great meal-but the night was let down by poor service by waitress
Very over-priced with our mains being $37 for a fillet steak served with colslaw and tinned (yes, definitely tinned) mushrooms and $42 for a very average dish of scallops. Wouldn’t waste my time again.
