I have visited this cafe many times & usually suggest this place when meeting friends. I have taken my grand children there as well and the staff go out of their way to provide for the little ones. The cafe is always clean, tidy and inviting [and I must mention they have the cleanest & best toilets that I have been to in town!!!!]The food is great & well presented, coffee nice as well, staff polite & friendly that’s why we keep going back.
I love Cafe Coco, it’s so lovely there, Petra the host there is fantastic so friendly. The food is amazing, the Raspberry and Coconut Muffins are heavenly and I stop in there any chance I get to pick up a couple, as you cannot help it. I love the Salmon Benedict and the Custard squares are amazing! Keep up the great work
My wife and I went to Cafe Coco today for brunch, and were both stoked that we did.The cafe itself caters for both breakfasts and lunch, decor is clean and inviting with art and French music playing.I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my wife, French Toast with bacon, bananas maple syrup. Both scored 10/10 for presentation and taste. I was amazed that my taste buds were sent tingling with the first mouthful (which doesn’t happen very often).Staff are well presented, and very friendly.Prices are very reasonable. My only wish would be that the owner of this cafe consider a dinner menu as well. Unfortunately, Whakatane suffers from not having any mid-price range dinner spots. I’m sure they would make a killing!Edit: We’ve been here a few times now, and I must say that the food presentation seems inconsistent, possibly depends on the chef of the day. We were blown away on our first visit, but by the third visit we were left with a ‘meh’ feeling. Altered rating to reflect this. Sorry, but had to be said.
