Without doubt this is the worst pie I have ever eaten in my whole existence. It was a pepper steak, $5.50. 4 pieces of meat, submerged in a meat tasting gel, awful. Embarrassing to have Bakery above the door. You would seriously be better heading to the Z fuel station up the road. Never ever go here.
Tucked in off Lincoln Road, this is a large premises – the ovens suggest it was once a pizzaria. There is plenty of room to sit and eat – although only two tables and chairs are provided. The shop seems uncertain if it is a bakery, a dairy or a takeaway etc – What it is then, is a shop of all sorts, that’s master of none. The service was prompt and friendly. I went with the pepper steak pie – seeking solid Saturday stodge! The gravy was too liquid and it was light on both meat and pepper. At $4.80 it was a tad disappointing. The sandwich pack bread was dry but adequately filled. They need to re-focus on improving the bakery items and creating some atmosphere – so that it looks, feels and (most importantly) tastes like a bakery.
