Had lunch here and was sorely disappointed. We both ordered a berry smoothie which tasted like they each had half a bottle of tomato sauce added in and so many ice cubes it was pretty much tangy tomato water with seeds. For my meal I got the Caesar salad – big mistake. First of all, the bowl was far too small and extremely overloaded with a ridiculous amount of lettuce so as soon as you tried to pick something up it would all go spilling over the edge. The chicken and bacon were stone cold, the croutons were soggy and stale and the whole thing just felt like it had been cooked and prepared a couple days ago and put in the fridge waiting to be ordered. I would have expected at least hot meat as the meals took so long to come out. Overall was possibly one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to and to top it off the employees seemed like they could not care less about our presence.
Visiting from Florida, great food, it did take a bit for the food to arrive but the staff was friendly and professional. The food was excellent. And the dessert even better. I had the homemade pie, and for dessert the sticky date pudding.
Came here for a pre concert dinner! Food was tasty but took some time to get food out and drinks but I suppose they were at maximum capacity. Left knowing I enjoyed my dinner and Christchurch has some really tasty places for a town still recovering from the earthquakes. Can’t wait to go there again when it’s back and bustling vibrant city again.
Love coming to this place. Every time I come I find the food is consistent and delicious. Great breakfast, haven’t come here for lunch before but definitely do rate their dinner and dessert.
Food was average, we had the duck $37 for a very small serving of breast and 1 piece of asparagus and 2 beans.Very small servings for the quite expensive menu prices, the staff were nice and the wait time was average. Your not a fine dining restaurant so portion sizes need to be larger or your prices significantly reduced.
Really nice for drinks and nibbles. My friends and I love doing the 3 little plates for $33 in the evening with a glass of wine. I had my first ever creme Brule here and it was stunning!
there was a wait but it was worth it and the service was great. The food was reallly yummy will definately come back and reccommend
