This business is now trading as ,’The Option’. On Wednesday we arrived for an early dinner and were enchanted with the exceptional standard of cooking and service. Our two courses were excellent. Top marks for dining. As a cafe during the day, it still needs to sort out its coffee production. Probably the roast is okay and maybe the extraction requires perfection to avoid a slightly bitter after palate, depending on the operator. After three visits, we feel this cafe has good potential.

We have found the food delicious, great service and the environment not the least bit pretentious. One of the best things about this restaurant is the ability to have a lovely meal just as you are – spur of the moment no flash image required.The menu provides something for everyone including attention to more healthy needs and this includes the wine options.We love it.
I went there for dinner. This place left me the impression of snobbish somehow. Food there wasn’t too bad, but nothing was impressive. I have to say it’s standard is above average. I will go there again for a coffee maybe.
Disappointed, just come home from a get together for a 65th birthday. Service pretty average, Mains ok but nothing spectacular for the price, no follow up for drinks, not offered coffees. Nothing molten about Lava Chocolate dessert. Restaurant not particularly busy. Have been previously and always really enjoyed it, food, service etc so thats why we booked for this special occasion. Will be looking for new venues in the future!
This restaurant promises so much more than it delivers at the same time that its pricing is completely out of touch with what it actually offers. Is this just a case of an establishment exploiting their well healed neighbours who don’t have to think about the cost but don’t have a clue about good food? Shame, because the service is unobtrusively attentive and good even as the space is reflective noise loud even when half full as well as that the pumped in music can be too loud also. The food here is entirely disappointing through and through, average minus to be generous as well as totally uninspiring, uncreative, ill-considered and routinely over-cooked to the point of dryness even as the portion sizes are perfectly adequate. Even more egregiously, terms like confit are bandied about without any understanding of their meaning or their correct application. If it cost a third the price I would not be so aggrieved, but this restaurant amounts to very poor value for money albeit with a friendly smile and not wishing to cast any aspersions upon the wait staff who elevate this establishment from poor to average – even if an an average not worth the price.
