Went for a meal in July. The food was wonderfully presented, but there just wasn’t enough of it. The average Kiwi male would NOT be satisfied with the main. I asked for extra vegetables and was told that they were provided for the table. What arrived was a VERY small bowl to be shared by 4 people. When wine was asked for, a repeat of the first wine order, they screwed it up. I got thoroughly sick of one of the waitresses continually topping up our water glasses, I far prefer a jug of water left at the table so you can help yourself. We wanted coffee at the end of the meal and had to wait about 10 minutes before they even took our order. We won’t be going back. There are better restaurants around.
We have been here a few times for lunch- which has always been very good- fast service and excellent food. This time we went for dinner for my birthday. The restaurant was reasonably busy, but unfortunately the wait for our food was far to long, our booking was for 7pm and our mains made it to our table at 9pm, as it was a work night we were slightly rushed. The waitresses were great and very attentive. We ordered side of chips for our meals, after payment we realised they had over charged us for the chips, but by this time we were too tired to go back and correct this. As I stated the food was perfect, but for a fine dining restaurant small errors like this make all the difference. We may go back- but maybe just for lunch
The food was excellent. The serving staff were extremely effificient and very friendly. The setting is beautiful with views over the golf course and lake. Well recommended for a relaxing meal with family or friends.
We took a party of seven for Mothers Day lunch, enjoyable setting looking over the 18 green. Although a small lunch menu everyone found something to their liking and food was very good. Desserts fantastic as well. I bit of a wait for the mains but overall the service was of a high quality. Definitely going back.
We celebrated our daughters 21st at the restaurant on the 12 April 2012. The service and food was very good. The cost was on the high side. What left a sour note was the 2% fee on the credit card at the end. Told it was owned by Australians. This is New Zealand!!!. Very bad attitude to my complaint. If you are paying by credit card forget them. If you are paying by cash ask them for a discount. In all honesty it would be best to leave them off your list. They are greedy Australians who wanted to charge an extra $10.35 on a $535.00 bill. The restaurant was not that busy I wonder why!!!
well what can I say, booked in for dinner for my 25th anniversary with my partner as peppers came highly reccomended. We arrived to the venue and was escorted to our table. We had a fantastic three course meal with a bottle of wine. We couldnt fault the service as the waiter was always checking on how we were while filling out glasses regularly. Nothing was a problem to them. I was impressed so i tipped the staff. A great night had and peppers made it even more special. I will be going back and would reccomend to others to try this venue. A+++++++
Horrible service, had a reservation, arrived to find out the waitress had written it in on the wrong day and had to wait an hour for a table. table was made out of two small round tables very clumsy like. finally ordered our meals which took 1.5 hours to arrive! do not recommend at all.
