On Friday we had tea salad, papaya salad, crispy tofu, marinated fish, crispy chicken, grilled eggplant, and creme brulee. As usual it was all top notch and the owner even did a bit of child minding for us – including Kitchen Tour for Master 15 months. I had a relative with me who had never experienced burmese food before – she was very impressed. Cost $55p/p (including wine & dessert).
Very distinguished cuisine. A connoisseur’s delight. The place is always full during late evenings. Friendly staff. Will go again in future.
The food was amazing. Very different from Thai food with very particular mix of spices. The tea salad is particularly good a must try. The lamb was succulent.
It’s the first time I tried burmese food. It makes me feel light and healthy. The presentation may be a bit crappy but the taste is surprisingly good. It’s not too strong or sharp, but of a comfortable feeling. Try that and it would be an interesting dining experience.
Food and service very good indeed, as others have said! But a special mention needs to be made of the acoustic dampening panels on the ceiling, which almost NO restaurants have, which, coupled with the carpeted floors, make for a very soothing acoustical environment. One piece of constructive feedback- I would have liked to see more greens on the menu.
Nice place, good menu with lots of interesting options. The papaya salad was the standout of our selection.
I have dined here a number of times. The food is consistently excellent, the service the same. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. It’s a great shared experience if you go in a group. The dishes are smaller, intended for sharing, and are priced accordingly. Each person can order a few dishes so you can try everything. You can’t go wrong.
