This is a great cafe. It can be busy at times, but the food and drink totally make up for it. Friendly staff and a great view out to the whole of Christchurch. This place serves incredible drinks.

The view was nice looking over Christchurch city. The hollabdaise sauce was a bit too sour which made it taste a bit strange. The clam chowder was good with generous seafood portions but it was chunky and gluggy and not soup enough. Still tasted good though

A good cafe with a great view. Having breakfast there in the morning is absolutely beautiful while looking over the snow-capped southern Alps. Okay menu and good food and service. The cafe can get crowded, in fact, it is crowded most of the times. Better to book a table in advance.

such a cute little place, pretty generic menu but the amazing views make up for it! I had the mushrooms which were very well flavoured but could have used some more sauce as there wasn’t much, my boyfriend had the burger and chips which he loved but he loves anything. the only down points were the generic menu and the lack of sauce with mushrooms, everything else was pleasing!

I’m usually not one to write a review but it was just so good!!! Went for lunch in the weekend, place was busy but got a table outside which was nice as it was a hot day. Ordered a flat white and a Japanese chicken salad for me and an iced coffee and big brekkie for my partner. The Japanese salad was just YUM, was so fresh and the dressing delicious, you guys should bottle it!! Hubby said the big brekkie was great too, he particularly loved the rye bread. We can’t wait to go back, perhaps for dinner next time.

Went for lunch with my husband never have we had such shocking service. First we waited nearly 40 minutes nobody asked us if we wanted a drink we had to ask for water. I ordered the Cesars salad paid an extra four dollars and fifty for chicken. I got no parmasan cheese in my salad soggy croutons and a had boiled egg and about five tiny pieces of chicken. It’s the worse service we have ever had and I DON’T RECOMMEND THE CUP TO ANYONE

Went for breakfast this morning with my work (group of 8). We were disappointed from the phone booking day before – whoever answered the phone gave the impression that 7.30am was too early for breakfast during the week and did we want to preorder which some of our staff were not available to do; to when we arrived we were greeted by the waitress with no smile/welcome and a resentful attitude. She obviously wasn’t a morning person and it reflected on her service. Unfortunately we won’t be going back to the Cup which is sad as we have been a number of times and have enjoyed the view and friendly welcoming service.
