Very good mocha, very good flat white. Not super cheap, but not super expensive either – $4 for a flat white, $4.50 for mocha. Average, expensive burrito. Haven’t tried much of the food menu here but they are one of the better coffee outlets in the near vicinity.
Love pure cafe food, delicious food, beautiful presentation and consistently excellent service. Definitely a favourite. I only wish their brunch menu would run through to lunch time during the week
A great little outdoor coffee joint on the west-bound side of Bealey Ave that serves up a great selection of Paleo options, health-inspired fruit drinks and trendy coffees. Recently they’ve picked up on the newest coffee trend, Bulletproof Coffee, which is boiled espresso with coconut oil and vanilla mixed in. I had to try it, love the slight aftertaste of coconut oil and the occasional hint on vanilla, but I will be sticking to regular long blacks from here on out. Also, $6 is a little steep for a speciality coffee, especially considering the hassle you go through to get to the coffee stop. There is a gravel parking lot on off Montreal Street, but this means you’ll be parked on a one-way street headed south. Hope that’s the direction you’re headed because during rush hour, turning around isn’t easy. There are some benches behind the coffee shop where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast and brew if the weather is nice. It’s not covered, so if it’s raining, I hope you brought an umbrella. The crew behind the counter are cordial, but not exciting, but maybe they haven’t had their coffees yet, so I can’t judge.
