This is a Christchurch classic! I’ve been coming here for years as has everyone else in Christchurch. The ice cream is vanilla-y and icy, just delicious! They’ll also make you a little ice cream for your dog- the owners are pet lovers.
No relation to the 90’s white boy rapper. They’re more commonly known as Ice Cream Charlies. Apparently an ice cream caravan has worked Vic Square since 1926. They dish up homemade vanilla ice and toppings. Service can be a little brisque and queues are common. On a hot day though, they are seldom beaten.
