Worse service ever in CHCH. Communication between their own staff was very poor. Ordered poached eggs on toasts. The toasts were stale. I addressed it to the waitress and asked for fresh toast, this was passed onto her manager. Waited 10-15mins before I asked the waitress about it again. The waitress had no idea what was happening and said it was with the Manager. In the end, we didn’t want any food or a refund. Wasted our time and money.
Food was cold and hard, could not even cut into toast. Expensive and long wait time. Very disappointing. Anywhere else would have been better. Staff not friendly.
Do not come here. The staff are poorly trained, the food and coffee is poor and the price is high. An embarrassment to Christchurch airport.
Ordered 6 items, all were wrong. Coffee is terrible
Will not recommend this place AT ALL. A few of us were waiting patiently in line in front of the counter and the lady at the counter ignored us for the whole time. Another guy then asked us to move to another counter where he could take our orders. Waited a long time for my coffee and it’s over roasted.
Not the greatest cafe experience by a long shot. Staff were ok and pretty attentive apart from table clearing. Food however was terrible. Sausages were scary to say the least, scrambled eggs were milky and shaped in a permanent ladle shape and toast was chewy and ready-made. Top it all off, there was a clear base of oil at the bottom of the plate. Every potential to own the Airport foot traffic as they come up the escalator but letting yourselves down with sub-standard a la carte menu.
Had a almond muffin on the run here last week, have had teas, coffees and kiwi club sandwich for lunch once on my preview trips. Always nice to have break here as they have ample seating inside and out. Staff and service is always good.
