My husband and I recently took a Sunday drive toward Kurow from Oamaru on this crisp yet sunny spring morning.It’s a stunning part of the country and the recent dusting of snow on the mountains really made everything seem postcard perfect. We stopped at Kurow Estate and decided to stay for lunch at Pasquale. It’s main road location made it an easy destination.There were several families already enjoying lunch and we chose a table outside despite the nip in the air. We were soon a glow with a glass of delicious Kurow Estate Pinot Noir.We both chose Angus Steaks and despite being accompanied by all manner of seasonal delights, the steak was the star and perfectly cooked.Desert just seemed like the right thing to do and so followed a decadent frangipani tart. figs, walnuts and toffee sauce-I know!- it was the perfect finish.The coffee and occasional passing car bringing us gently back to earth.Our service was delightful. Many Thanks for a lovely experience Pasquale, we will be back soon.
