This place is bang on for the quality and price of the food. Two hungry tourists from Auckland were looking for some good local food and drinks, and I swear this is the place to go. $10 for huge serving sizes, you can’t find those in Auckland. The fried chicken is tasty af

We went for a meal at this uncivilised unfriendly inhospitable joint that calls itself a restaurant. They let a drinker keep a table set aside for us and then totally ignored us. We didn’t stay and I urge anyone reading this to do the same. They deserve to fail.

A local for lyttletoners and a real treat for tourists and cantabrians that make the journey over the hill. Would recommend the deep fried cauliflower. Ask the lovely bar staff to make you a cocktail, they have a great range and know how to mix a drink. Worth the drive 🙂

Awesome spot for some casual Friday afternoon drinks. Staff were chatty and trendy and the bar had a warm, cosy and inviting atmosphere. My friend and I tried two different flavours of Zeffer cider, great that it’s New Zealand made with no added sugar. $9 a bottle does seem pretty pricey. My other friend had a pint of Cassels and Sons lager which was on tap. We then got the munchies and ordered the hand cut fries and aioli. We were hesitant at the $10 price tag but these chips were so worth it. Beautifully chunky and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a delicious seasoning we couldn’t quite put our fingers on. The serving size was reasonable but would probably better be shared between two not three. Saying that I could probably demolish a whole serve myself. I’ll definitely be going back to try more of their tapas. girlinbetween.com

Amazing food and atmosphere, and awesome service! This place is a hidden gem. Had a great lunch here with friends, wonderfully made tapas style meal and a unique wine list. Our waitress was great too, very personable and likeable. I’d definitely come back!
