Had dinner on Saturday night with family and absolutely loved it we went BYO and were greeted with 4 fab wine glasses on arrival . The service was very friendly, we all ordered different meals with one was requested with no onions due to an allergy this was not a problem and all meals arrived at the same time. Thanks Keo Thai ✌️

Went to Keo Thai for lunch, well that was a mistake. This place has one of the lowest ratings on zomato! It is quite run down, had a bad smell and it was not the food. Ordered Pad Gai Satay -peanut sauce with chicken and veg,as well as chicken Pad Thai,we shared these. The meals had hardly any meat or decent veg,the rice was cold. The pad thai was the worst i have ever seen and tasted abnormal. When I went to the toilets, there were fly’s everywhere from the filthy access way and what a mess the toilets were in! I was a bit queasy after leaving. Will never go back. I really don’t like handing over good money for such a bad return, its like food fraud.

I have been here quite a few times over the years and it is very consistent. Food quality is very good and the spice is well weighted to the medium/hot choice. Overall a slightly above average food score with service being slightly below average ( possibly ‘poor’ based on other Thai restaurants). Outside dining option is good but the main restaurant is a little tired. Wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again but don’t expect 5 star. Very good but could always do better.

This is a great little Thai restaurant tucked away off of busy Papanui Road. Arrive early for your booking (yes, you absolutely need to make one) and enjoy your BYOwine on the patio. Forgot to bring a bottle? Have a glass at Vesuvio, first. There are two indoor seating areas for Keo Thai: the main restaurant adorned with traditional Thai decorations or the simple, better for groups of 4 area just off of the courtyard. There is also an outdoor courtyard seating area, which is great on a warm summer night. Here’s what I think: The Pad Thai is some of the best I’ve had, and not only have I lived in New York, but I’ve been to Thailand, too (sticks out tongue). For Christchurch, this is the best Pad Thai you’re going to find. Order it with chicken which is moist, tender and well-seasoned. The portion is large, so definitely plan to take some home with you or share. The Egg Rolls are FANTASTIC. Sometimes I just want to order three or four orders for my dinner. The rolls are vegetarian and wrapped into tight little rolls and cooked to a golden color then served on a plate with a sweet/sour sauce and some fruit garnishes. DELICIOUS and not to be skipped. My husband always orders the Tom Yum soup. It has a great flavor, but is so spicy that after one sip or one piece of chicken (Tom Yum Gai) my taste buds are obliterated for a few minutes. Definitely not a soup for chili-sensitive people. We also have had the Tom Yum Goong (prawn) which is just as tasty, not as spicy (still take caution). My husband had the Pad Ki Maw and cleaned his plate. Served with a side of rice which is great to mix into the dish to soak up the chili-sauce. Again: HOT HOT HOT!Don’t have plans for dinner tonight? Call Keo now!

I would love to be able to give Keo Thai a better rating. However, the three meals we ordered were not far of terrible and service average. Not a meal we enjoyed at all! My husband thought his dish tasted like it was off. I remembered this place being much better. What a shame, as it’s such a nice location. We will not be going back.

Rubbish! The least authentic thai meal I’ve ever eaten!
