Heard coriander and little India are the best Indian restaurants. I don’t agree the food was average. The service I got was not good at all. My food was very late and they didn’t even bother letting us know. Never going back!
My 1st visit to this place. Delicious Indian cuisine, Indian staff, very co-operative and friendly. Its alot of orange colour in there which looks attractive and eye catchy among other shops/outlets in the area. Alot of non-Indian crowd was visible. Thumbs up to that !!Loved butter naan, dal fry, paneer matar gravy, palak pakodi (delicious hot snack – highlight of the lunch) and gulab jamun (sweet dish). No free wifi still must visit !!
Went for dinner with friends. Decent ambience and good staff. Was open till late which really what we were looking for and that’s a big plus for me. Food choice is good but was ok in taste. We ordered two gravies in vegetarian and except the veggies in it the gravy was similar and slightly bland. Overall an average place.
Loud and busy spot located near a Bar !! We were craving for Indian food, this place is known for its North Indian Speciality. Wide variety under entree and mains as expected from Indian joint ! We ordered Paneer Tikka,Bhuna Chicken & Naan. Paneer Tikka was just ordinary, had an after taste unsure of what 😐 I was quite surprised to find Bhuna chicken on the menu as it is not commonly found item on menu( must have a secret recipe- Dhabba style) finger licking good !! Although it was shy of Salt but we worked it out 🙂 Service and seatings are good, don’t need to have reservations!
It was a hit and miss for us. We started with the paneer aloo tikkis. The tikkis were a bit bland taste wise but well cooked. We then went for tarka dal, rotis and onion kulcha. The dal came with a portion of rice ( all their curries come with a portion of rice). The dal was quite hot and needed salt. The onion kulcha though was a bit doughy.Overall food was average and service a bit slow they were quite busy with takeaway as well as table service.
Absolutely splendid. Nothing negative I can say at all. The food is top notch, as is the service. They alter the food according to your tastes, the service is impeccable, and the prices are decent. I haven’t tried any other Indian restaurant in Christchurch but I’m glad I tried this, and I would unquestionably recommend this to anyone. Made our evening. Solid place, very likely to visit this place again!
This was our one stop dining restaurant in Christchurch as it was close to home. I really liked the veg biryani, and the paneer dishes. It is so hard to get a table here, that we would just go in for a takeaway every time. Good ambience and really clean as well but limited space.
