food was good, but that’s about the only good thing, they had mucked up our booking which they sorted, but the ambiance was terrible, so loud! hard to understand the staff as couldn’t hear, then we got drinks and placed food order and were forgotten for 40 mins when we managed to get a waitress to get us some more drinks! i could see other tables in our area were getting frustrated as well, food took an hour and a half, we won’t be back again that’s for sure! it’s expensive and that fine but one would usually expect better service when paying good money! terrible evening which to be honest with more attentive staff could of been a lot better!!

We have been looking forward to dine here for some time however we must of picked a bad night as they seemed to miss us.. Found prices to be a little high to be regular here. Food was nice with great presentation, but without the authentic Thai choices & tastes I enjoy more.

Food was okay service was nice and friendly. Pad thai should not have tomato sauce in it or should be red. The mieng was not a mieng either it was more like som tum on a spinach leaf

Lunch! Dined here with some colleagues on their recommendation and really enjoyed the food. Ordered the Miang spinach leaf, mango, crunchy coconut and lime as an entree, this was a really marriage of ingredients! Refreshing and well balanced. For mains I ordered the wok fried spicy scallops squid kaffir lime leaf, fresh basil and green bean and came with rice to share among the table. I enjoyed the seafood, cooked well and paired with enough sauce to mix in with rice. Really enjoyed my meal and so did the rest of the table. Friendly attentive staff, definitely when I’m back in Christchurch I’ll be back for more! ☺️

Spice Paragon was of the best restaurants at the time of its opening due to its rich and hearty dishes such as the Beef Cheeks. Spice Paragon has a great menu of both excellent entrees and incredible signature mains. As you may know, the beef check in Curry is an absolute must due to its warm and soothing sauce and slow cooked beef that simply melts in your mouth, every mouthful is as good as the next. Other meals like the Mussamun curry of lamb shank are also very good and are two great mains that will almost immediately exceed your expectations of Spice Paragon. The expensive menu will leave you wallet near bear but its all worth it. The service is good and the atmosphere is great. I also love the way you can see the kitchen and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Now that Riccarton’s Spice Paragon has had a change of ownership, its now formed Tuk Tuk, which has too repeated its legacy of one of the best restaurants of CHCH as of today.

I have been here several time and had some good experiences however the last time was a shambles. Wasnt too busy but took forever to get drinks then after over an hour we got given the desert menus before we had recieved our main. Disorganized as we had 4 or 5 different waiters. Little disappointing, not sure if i will go back after that.

I was taken here for a surprise dinner and it was outstandingly good. Service was informative, unobtrusive and well-paced. Now the food, we had a menu whereby one could order continuous dishes on an individual basis and this was an excellent concept and at a very good price. I couldn’t fault any of the dishes right down to the sliders which the younger ones in our party in particular loved. For me the squid was delicious. We were a large party but it didn’t impact upon service on a busy Thursday night. This will be our ‘go to’ place especially for groups as good service, good price and great selection. Bar service was efficient also with reasonable offerings.
