This is a place where you love to let things pass by while sipping a nice coffee. The place is warm but not spacious. Staff is accomodating. Lot of food choices and service is fast☕️☕️☕️
Great staff, coffee and fresh seasonal ingredients cooked to perfection. I love the daily blackboard meal options if I’m a hurry at lunchtime.
The staff are often not interested with no motivation to move queues quickly, the food and drinks are overpriced and on more than one occasion workmates have found hair in their food. If you’re in the area head across the road to Procope, 10 times better!
Many people gave this cafe a ton of hype and told me I just had to go. So, I did. I don’t know if it was the hype or the day I went, but underwhelmed is how I can best describe my experience. The staff is friendly enough but even with a line several people deep there is no motivation to get people seated. I ordered their green energy juice which took about 7 minutes to be delivered to the table, but it was delicious and refreshing. The food was delivered to our table pretty quickly (french toast) but I was not impressed. There are several other restaurants nearby that make a fantastic french toast that I regularly go out of my way to order. I won’t be back for this one mostly because it was just bland. There wasn’t anything terrible about it, it just didn’t stand out. The cafe itself is charming. They have a section of bread for sale, so if you come in early you can pick up a loaf or two of freshbaked goods (looks like these go fast). Enjoy indoor or outdoor seating at wooden tables or lounge chairs. There are posters and signs on the walls featuring upcoming events and the vibe is very laid-back. Visit this place if you’re in need of a caffeine pick-me-up for sure, but brunch is a no-no.
On a Giraffe Safari, called in for some sustenance. Breakfast time. A Relative stream of customers. It was warm and welcoming. Menu on the tables and on the board behind the counter. No wait staff per se order your meal and drinks at the counter.A wide selection of foods on offer. Great cabinets to look at and decide.Porridge with brown sugar – sprinkling of nuts. Tasty.A toasted breakfast bagel which was served with a side salad. I had it toasted which is the way to go. The bacon was crispy and the egg oozed its golden lava everywhere. My only concern was the lettuce which now resembled a limp piece of greens. I know this is from the heating but maybe the lettuce could be added afterwards to keep the crispness of it. Would make this a fantastic bagel then.If there was lettuce like this in the supermarket you wouldnt have taken it. This is a side issue and did not really effect the dish. Most enjoyable. And damn hot.Washed down with a coffee and hot chocolate.Drinks and bagel $17.50.The porridge was great. Perfect would have been some berries or mixed fruit on top.Inside a range of seating and lounging. Outside tables and chairs. This cafe has a website.Take home some fabulous bread products.Would I go again? Yes of course. Thanks for a great breakfast stop.
