I went to VaVoom as I like taking the family to Robbies for dinner and thought I would give it a try for lunch. I was sorely disappointed. They made us wait to be served, and then made us wait an unusually long time for our coffees (which were of poor quality), and then ignored us for a while before giving us our food. By the end of it, our children were restless and we ourselves were annoyed. Our first visit was definitely our last visit!

My partner and I went for lunch and were very disappointed. While we looked over the very small lunch menu we were treated to the personal conversation of the three women working behind the counter. We went up to order and this seemed to be a bit of an intrusion. We received our coffees in good time and they were very good. When our lunches came we were pleasantly surprised by the size but soon learned that quality is more important than quantity. We then were privy to some more of the private lives of the staff when a boyfriend (??) or similar came in. When we left the cafe was empty of staff and at no point did anyone ask us how our food was.
My husband and I went for a coffee here, after recently moving to the neighbourhood. He ordered a coffee, that tasted unusual and I ordered an ice chocolate, that tasted like milk (barely any taste of chocolate). Another family arrived and the staff member told them she was due to close in 15mins, so would not serve them. When they walked out the door she then scoffed that she could finish up early. We quickly drunk our less than satisfactory drinks then left. I will not return!
I have been there for lunch and afternoon coffee and it has been excellent. The coffee is piping hot and the food arrives out promptly. I would thoroughly recommend it.
