Completely enjoyed the pork and chive handmade dumplings in a fragrant medium spice chili oil! These little beauties are the perfect hangover cure for any occasion. Great find! Will definitely be back here when in Chch
I am a real dumpling fan so I was stoked to find this place while shopping at the mall. I had the pork prawn & garlic chive boiled dumplings which were nice. The portion size of 12 I thought was good & good value for money also. The place isn’t the nicest however it is clean & pleasant to dine at
There really isn’t too much to say about Aunty Dai’s Dumplings, a great easy option for a quick snack of dumplings with a variety of choices. They aren’t all great but few are bad, they’re kinda average but sufficient enough to do the job should a dumpling craving arise.Situated in the mall in a handy location by the one of the main entrances, you can get in and out easy enough. Not ideal for large groups as it is a small place.Value for money is pretty good as well. Not ideal for a date or romantic sojourn unless you are going for a cheap and potentially cramped experience.
I’ve never been a fan of dumplings but I enjoy them here and my partner loves them. I’ve tried the pork and garlic something pan fried dumplings and the pork and vegetable pan fried dumplings which are really nice
Went to Auntie Dai’s Dumplings at the weekend as we heard it was good. I have to say the service was quite terrible and we would never go back. After ordering, we sat down to wait and saw 2 of the staff wiping their nose on their hands in between serving customers. Unbelievable. The food took ages to arrive and was served on 1 plate that was just put down on our table with no words spoken, or offer of sauces or utensils which we then went up to the counter and got. Food seemed ok but couldn’t be enjoyed after witnessing the bad staff hygeniene, unfriendly attitude and overall bad customer service. A bad way to run a business when there is soooooo much competition in Riccarton.
Love their dumplings or wontons, you can have them steamed/pan fried/soup. Yummy especially with their non spicy chili and soysauce♡ If any of you have bigger appetite, 12 dumplings per serving may not be enough for you. You just have to order more or something else, they serve buns too 🙂
We came here in the weekend for some little food to have before movie. I ordered the pork and vegetable pan fried dumpling. The dumpling is delicious and tasty with soy sauce and chilli oil. Only problem is that 12 dumplings are not enough for a guy I think.
