Was just as good as our local in Wellington. Ended up here after leaving a disappointing visit to jamaica blue in the mall and didn’t regret the decision. Food good value and an excellent selection of hot and cold snacks, variety of drinks and range of prices. Near to carpark too

Another coffee chain, this one originating in Auckland in the early 90’s. The coffee and food is mall standard, that is a perfunctory and largely characterless experience. The tables are small and the wooden seats uncomfortable, lest you linger too long.
I have been coming to Columbus Riccarton very regularly for the past few years, that should tell you roughly what I think of it!As far as I am concerned they do the best coffee in Christchurch and I have only been able to find other cafes that match, never exceed, the quality, consistency, and flavour of the food. Their Eggs Benedict in particular is a favorite of mine.The recent decor update is great and the staff are always very friendly.Make this place a priority on your list!
