Really great and friendly staff. Fantastic pizza, just not quite as good as it was in Queenstown, maybe a little too much cheese. But other than that, excellent!
Delivery order arrived on time, delivery person and staff member on phone very polite and pleasant. I had the lamb shank, Mum had a creator pizza with blue cheese and bacon (snack size, about right for one person), and we shared a camembert salad. The gravy on the lamb shank was nicer than I remember, the pizza as good as ever, and the salad very refreshing. (I like that the default setting for salad is no dressing!) Yes, Hell is more expensive than other pizza chains. Yes, I think it’s well worth it. Besides, who else delivers lamb shanks? I love it.
The pizzas were quite bare compared to the other Hell Pizzas I have ordered from, stiff, and most importantly lacked the toppings described from the menu. We ordered the Pandemonium, for instance, and the cranberry was next to none! Great service tho, staff seem pleasant.
Hard to believe that they’re coming up to 20 years old. The carefully constructed advertising campaigns designed to draw faux outrage from the usual eager to be offended quarters seem to be a thing of the past. This could be a symptom of leaving their teen years behind? The ‘cooler than thou’ attitude of some staff seems to have toned down too, a realisation that working in fast food for minimum wage in itself doesn’t make you awesome? It’s still good pizza, if a shade on the spend-y side.
Great service, great pizza, worth the extra $ for the quality. Lots of variety in the menu and tasty sides. Try the lust if your a meat lovers fan.
I ordered the Pizza online because it is faster to order online than waiting on the phone. Ordered the pizza at 7pm and it said that the pizza would be ready to pick up at 7.26pm, so we got there at 7.30pm and went up to the register and waited for a while assuming it was ready, only to find that the lady couldn’t find our pizza order so after asking her to politely find it for us, she told us later that the pizza just went into the oven, and that it would be a 15 minute wait. So by around 8pm our pizza was ready to take home. I admit that the restaurant was quite busy but I do recommend that they have a more accurate time to when the pizza would be ready to pick up, to avoid unhappy customers. However the pizza was delicious, we had the envy without onions. It’s recommended to come here on a not so busy night as the pizza is worth the $15 (slightly more expensive than other pizza takeaways). Overall, customer service was ok and the pizza was nice!
The service at Hell Pizza Riccarton is terrible! Only go here if:you want to wait for 5 minutes on the phone.-want to be ignored at the counter.-want to sit on a chair for 40 minutes while your pizza goes cold because no one bothers to tell you it is ready-want to be scowled at, ignored and walked away from mid sentence if you politely ask whyhmmm nothing like waiting an hour for cold pizza
