My family and I love this place. Nothing fancy to look at but the food and the service is always top class and we drive across Christchurch to eat here or get takeaways, it’s that good and the price is pretty good too. We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so and recommend to our friends.

Great food but an extremely last two disappointing dinners here with service and rudeness of the owner. Last time staff took the order incorrectly and we had asked for not spicy. It came out spicy, they did not apologise and would not fix dish. Tonight owner was very rude, sat down away from customer area and played on his phone. They have done this every time we have dined there. We waited for someone to pay the bill. Rude over how we should pay the bill. Customer service needs to be improved upon. Would not recommend if you are wanting a nice meal out with polite staff.

I ordered takeaway for two beef noodle soups. I got there and it turns out they heard seafood noodle soup. Seeing it was quite late and we were hungry, I paid for it anyway. Got home and found out they charged me $13 per bowl even though it says $11.50 on the menu here. The seafood noodle soup was dogshit. Their rice noodles were stuck so I couldn’t even put it in the bowl. The broth was too sweet and the squid was like rubber. We threw it out after a few bites.Needless to say, I would not recommend.

This is hands down my favourite place for Pho Bo, crispy squid and some fresh spring rolls. The service is always sweet and quick. The prices are so affordable! I come here every second Sunday for date night and I’m always happy

We were a table of seven there were a couple of others big tables, and only one waitress. We ordered entree and mains. The entree came out in good time the prawn skewers on sauger cane were bland, the crispy squid was average the pork and prawn pancake was just horrid under cooked oily and no flavour. Then we waited and waited and waited one main at a time SLOWLY came out but no rice and also wrong dishes arrived. The chilli beef with peanuts was oily and no peanuts the satay beef was really oily and so salty it was inedible. I could keep going but all up a terrible dinner especially for my dad as it was his bday. Will never dine there again and I don’t recommend it.

The food was bland and not at all flavourful. To top it off, I ordered a vermicelli bowl with spring rolls and there was a big black hair poking out of the spring roll. When I pointed it out to the staff, it was promptly taken away but with no apology. They brought me another, but it was hard to tell if it was an entirely new meal or they had just taken out the hair-filled spring roll. The charge for this bowl remained on our bill. My partner ordered fried rice noodles which were luke-warm and a tiny serving size. Had to douse all of it in sauce for any inkling of flavour. The Saigon Star spring rolls that were ordered as an entree came out in legitimately under a minute and were so stale and small. Pretty sure they must’ve just been premade and sitting out in the kitchen. We left still hungry, nauseous from the hair in the food, and disappointed by the lack of manners by the restaurant staff. I definitely do not recommend.
