I honestly don’t understand how the others experience here was average but came with a group last night and it was amazing. The entrée and mains was delicious. The wine pairing was even better. We ordered 3 various entree to start us up. Crispy Prawn Sticks, Mix Platter, and Satay Chicken? and paired with a bottle. Perfect! It was so delicious that we literally gobbled it too fast. Out came the mains and even better! I had the Chicken Pad Thai and the other 3 ordered different ones too. Not exaggerating but their Pad Thai was better than the Thai restaurants I have been in. Had a wee cheeky try out of one of the guy’s meal – Tom Yum Goong, and damn, that too was tasty! Good food. Great night. Good company.
Travelling with my parents who are vegetarian.. we ordered the vegetarian red curry and drunken noodles. The food was fantastic and exactly what we needed after a long day of travel and sightseeing. The curry (can be shared by two persons) is served with rice (enough for one person) and was full of flavour and spicy enough to make mum and dad happy. The quantity of vegetables in both the curry and noodles was very generous and fresh. The location is also great as it is right outside the tram stop if you are doing the hop-on hop-off tram.
A cosy little family run restaurant in one of Christchurch’s iconic streets. Friendly prompt service, fresh authentic food, fabulous beef salad. Would happily return.
Good for Christchurch I’m guessing? I get the feeling authentic Asian food can be hard to find here.My wife had the vegetarian pad Thai. It was quite nice but had too much tamarind paste so it tasted a little jammy. My green curry with chicken was really nice. The serving of rice was a little mean though. On the higher end of reasonable price-wise.Weird not to get chop sticks with a noodle dish. Is this an NZ thing?
Mum and I walked passed came here for lunch. When it comes to Thai food I’m very well educated, I found the food ok but not the best, The pad se ew had to much soy sauce, wasn’t balanced well I wanted spicy but not when the soy sauce over powers everything it didn’t have much egg in it. Very disappointing, mum loved the pad Thai was very sweet though! Th me soup was an amazing price for a side it was the night lite for 2 dollars!!!
