First trip to Christchurch in 26 years, came across accidentally I might add. This delightful Italian restaurant. The food options were grand and a lot of difficulty in deciding on what to have. In the end a nice steak was the decision. Excellent choice with a light salad on the side.
Came here for dinner with some friends, while visiting Christchurch and I must say the food was mouth watering. I had the Le Cochon dish & it was so dang good, I demolished my plate lol loved the flavors.
Very fast service food came out almost quick as the drinks. Very good food too ordered the meatball starter as a main and still had some to take home. Definitely recommend.
Once again our group venture out to pastures new. Well not exactly new for me, but for the majority this was the first time at Trevinos. Anyhow it was lunch time and there were 14 of us. A few drinks beforehand and we were all into the mains. No way am I going to comment on everyone’s meals but from the observations made there were no issues whatsoever. I had the battered fish, chips, salad and suitable accompaniments. Crisp and lovely. Others had nasi goreng which apparently was superb. A couple had the burgers and few the salads and all were pleased with what was presented. Afterwards a few went for desserts. In my case I had the sticky date etc and it was stunning. The waiting staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Overall the lunch was just about perfect. Drinks and desserts were a bit pricey but the mains were reasonable. Definitely go back again. (Just so you know, the first two times we went there [it was a few years ago] the meals were terrible. Gave it a third chance, which is unusual for me, and we’ve never had a bad experience since.)
I liked this restaurant to start with. Great service! Nice food! Fantastic live music at night! However my last dinning experience there was not too pleasant. I ordered a meal came with roast vegetable. Damn! It was a mistake every chef can possibly make: over cook and burnt. I told the waitress these vege were burnt. The waitress said to me so you don’t like roast vegetable. I showed dark burnt vegetable to her, and repeated they were burnt. She walked into the kitchen quickly and told the chef. After a few minutes, a bowl of roast vegetable was handed out to me by the waitress. Sadly half of them were still burnt. This time I even can’t b bothered to complain again.Not sure if the chef can’t cook roast vegetable correctly or I had bad luck that night. Next time I will think three times before I go there.

We went to Trevinos restaurant at dinner time. The service was excellent with a great customer service waiter. We had an aged beef and a pork belly. The beef was a great taste and cooking was just excellent and pork belly was great too with a nice source. I red thought other feedback and we didn’t have any entree so I can’t have any comment for that.Last comment was Aug 2012, so I believe they have a new chef.We had a dessert, today’s special, pudding and it was nice taste.Definitely we want to come back there.
