Ok, these guys are one of the last few making affordable, perfect fish and chips. Perfect Burger, Downed that and moved on to the fish once it had chilled. Really good. The chips are perfect.
Delicious Food, Great Chicken, Bacon and Cheese Burgers. Friendly Staff! Seriously the best around! I also had a Jam Wrap – these are also amazing.
Great Value and friendly staff. Just don’t order one piece of fish for each person unless you have a HUGE appetite! Crumbed Cod is really tasty and the pieces are enormous! Great hand-cut chips, and the curry rolls are yum!
If I was to compare how much I enjoy the fish, chips and burgers from North Avon Fish Fry, I would have to reach for the most grandiose of hyperbole. So let me try.The chips come in quantities only surpassed by the amount of STIs in Hamilton.The Fish tastes like it jumped straight our of the sea and into the fryer, you can taste the pain and anguish that the fish went though in its very recent death, and it is as pleasing to the tongue as Mel Gibson once was to the eye.The burgers are the tits. I say that as someone who likes tits. Nuff said.Put this stuff in your mouth ASAP
Read the reviews 4-5 stars so I went and gave my money. If I was rating this place on the quantity of food I received then it would get 5 stars. I ordered 2 cod and a scoop of chips. Was more like half the fish in the sea and a bucket of potatoes. Size isn’t everything. crumbed cod contained very little cod. Also flavourless. Chips were handcut style and I enjoyed what I had but ultimately a good chip is let down by a bad fish.
Great service and the best crumbed Akaroa cod with garlic salt I have ever had! Reasonably priced. If you are unsure of how busy it is on Friday nights, then ordering by phone is the way to go.
One of the best fish and chip shops in Christchurch. Highly recommend their battered Akaroa Cod with garlic salt. Unassuming shop but well worth a visit. Reasonably priced and usually quick to prepare. Can get quite busy on Friday/Saturday nights.
