Been here a couple times for a takeaway. The food is okay, with decent portion sizes. The price is up there, but the quality is a little better than other kebab places. It’s not outstanding, nor is it terrible. I am not going to recommend it, but I wouldn’t discourage you from going either. Maybe worth trying once, but you won’t be left feeling wow’d.
Went on Saturday night after booking a table for 4 people during the week. Had heard it was busy so make sure you book I was told. Anyhow it was pretty quiet but I would suggest booking, just in case, as the place started to fill up after 8.00. We ordered 3 entrees; hummus dip, egg plant dip and the zuccine frittata. All were lovely. Mains were nearly all the same comprising skewered chicken, lamb or a lamb kofta mix. These came with salad, rice, and the usual sauces of yogurt and spicy mixes. Overall a really nice meal. Price wise, OK. Service was pleasant and efficient. Just needed a bit more attention to see if we wanted any more drinks – yes was the answer, but alas we went somewhere else for a refill after paying the bill!!!
We attended for a Birthday dinner. The food was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive. We even got an impromptu traditional dance with the free birthday cake. Elly is particularly good value and the young guys serving us were excellent. Friendly, good food, good service and very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone. It doesn’t seem to be widely known about, which is a shame as it has the potential to become a special venue.
We had my sister’s engagement party here on the 25/01/14. Elly, her sons and husband made our evening one to always remember. The food was impeccable! I had the Rib eye Steak and I would highly recommend it, the steak was cooked to perfection! All of our guests only had great comments about their meals as well. We did have to wait a little bit for our meals but that is to be expected for such a large group and we were given complimentary baskets of chips while we waited. On top of all the above Elly went above and beyond and preformed a traditional dance for our guest and got us all up dancing with her (even the other guests that were dining got up). All in all a night we will always remember and we will definitely be back to dine at the Persian Kitchen again. Thank you Elly and family!
We popped down to the Persian Kitchen last night for a spontaneous dinner. Not many customers but we did hear positive comments as people were paying and leaving. We were more than satisfied by the beautiful food which we shared. Hummus for a starter, a shared platter of beef/chicken and then a lamb/beef kebab, all on a bed of rice, couscous and salad.It was beautiful. I don’t believe that their menu is limited at all – this isn’t a restaurant where you are going to find ‘run of the mill’ steak and salad options.The wait staff were young, but our young man was attentive ++, and appeared to have an excellent knowledge of the menu and suggestions.I’d thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely be back.
