Went there for breakfast because of its reputation. Very comfortable table and seats with good ambiance and a great interior with cheerful colour combination. The food was good, but just good, not superb as expected. Sometimes great expectation comes with some degree of disappointment.
Over priced lunch menu, very basic meal which could be made at home. Seating not comfortable, large tables to share with strangers is not my cup of tea. I hope the $110 dinner menu offers more
Wow! What a great place! First of all, there was no menu. We were surprised by the chef (Jamie) with a special four-course meal that was served to every diner that night. I loved the concept! 🙂 His creations were inventive, delicious, and visually appealing.Every dish was personally described/explained to us by a charming member of staff. The first entree was groper (SUPERB!) ; the second contained tender chunks of lamb; and, the main course was venison. That was followed by a lovely lemon dessert with gelato.Presentation and taste were amazing. It’s a shame that the main course, venison, was served lukewarm, rather than hot, but that’s my only quibble. Due to the large number of guests, the waitstaff were probably delayed in picking up our dishes and bringing them to our table. You have to wait a long time between courses. It took more than 2 1/2 hours for a four course meal, with no time wasted selecting items since there was no menu. The restaurant is beautifully designed with striking green angular arcs at the entrance. Inside boasts terrific interior design; well-appointed with fresh modern colors and clean lines. We were lucky to arrive early and snap up a table for two by the window. People who arrived later had to share the long tables which seemed perfect for groups but not for couples. We like to have space for private conversations so we were glad to have a table for two. Service was friendly, attentive, and pleasant. We especially enjoyed being served by a young English lad who was fantastically friendly and charming and made the BEST flat whites!Gorgeous place! We will definitely return! And I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a gorgeous dining experience and has the time to enjoy it.
My partner & I decided to dine at Passengers & Co on Valentines Day after hearing a good review from a friend. We booked in a week in advance to secure a seat yet when we arrived we were asked if we minded being seated beside the door on tall bar stools.. We disapproved & were eventually seated at a very small table only centimetres away from other tables each side so our neighbours could hear every word of our conversation..After being seated we were told the 5 course meal they usually serve would not be available, we were then left to sit there wondering what we were going to be served, we were not asked if we had any food allergies & we weren’t asked if we would like a drink. The couple at the table beside us were seated about 10mins after us yet they received their meals well before us. We had to wait over an hour before we even received an on-tray! We never received an apology from the staff & they seemed to be trying to avoid us all night. We will not be returning due to the lack of service & crammed seating, not a good atmosphere at all.
