Fantastic F&C Shop – it’s got to be in the top 5 in chch.Blue cod and Hoki fillets are expensive but well worth getting vs the standard fish.Chippies are delious and after eating the meal – you don’t feel greasy or unhealthy compared to a lot of the other F&C shops.Would recommend this place to anyone.
We have just enjoyed the best fish ‘n chip experience in years.Quick friendly service, crispy light fish batter, crisp non oily chips and very generous portion size.On pick up very friendly service, clean, and would thoroughly recommend. Have to agree with one of the previous writers, this was one of the worst f & c’s I have had for at least a decade. Chips were okay but fish was ‘aged’ and none of us (3 people) could eat it. Also had 1 bite of a hot dog. That was enough to know I didn’t want anymore. Disappointed as was really looking forward to the meal given some of the previous recommendations.
So glad this fish n chip shop is back up and running. Best fish n chips in Christchurch, have missed them while they were shut due to roading repairs.Look forward to my next visit, yummy fish n chips (-:
This is the best fish and chip shop in Christchurch. We have been going there for years and tried many others, but there is no competition. Their food is always fresh and really delicious. Coming originally from the UK I have had my fair share of soggy chips and greasy fish, their food surpasses your typical fish and chips, it is realllllyyyyyy good! Also their service is fabulous, they are always so polite, helpful and if you put in a take away order they epitomise ‘Fast Food’, as you never have to wait more than 10minutes until collection. It is a great meal and once tired you could quite possibly add it to your menu once a week. In fact I think it’s on the menu tonight! Lucky us.
Just had some of the worst fish and chips of my life. The chips were undercooked and soggy, the fish was disgusting and we were unable to eat it. They could possibly have been the best fish and chips in CHCH years ago but now could be some of the worst.
Go there every week, value for money food. They take orders by phone. Very busy on Friday evenings.Staff are very experienced (family) and do not overcook (or undercook). The burgers taste good and do the job.
