My brother and I’s favourite pizza and pasta restaurant in Christchurch. Their fries with seasoning are some of the best fries I have had. I have tried a variety of their menu items including their garlic prawns, salads, Oceana pizza, apricot chicken pizza, chicken cranberry pizza, chicken burger etc and they are all very tasty. The staff are awesome and super friendly.

The staff were really nice. Our NY chicken wings came out cold and the arancini balls weren’t crispy enough and a bit mushy. The salad that came with it was really good though. The oceania and apricot chicken pizza was good. Too bad it wasn’t a brought crust!

I was singularly unimpressed. We kicked off at 4.30 on Friday. The place was packed by 6, so I can’t deny their popularity but their appeal alludes me.The acoustics are awful. We had a biggish group and even early when it was largely empty inside it was difficult to hear across the table. Latter as the crowd swelled it became nigh on impossible to hear anything but the person immediately next to you. This was not at all aided by the blaring of ‘classic’ hits. It was a balmy autumn evening – actually quite muggy by Christchurch standards. Our table was next to a gas heater that staff insisted on firing up, ignoring our requests to do otherwise. The heat was unbearable. The side of my face nearest this blast furnace lost about half a kg in weight. The service is slow. The first of our meals arrived out 30 minutes before the next one. This created an awkwardness – should we wait? should we start? Poor for such basic food as pizza. The tap beer range is only Montieths. At $8.50 a glass the prices are craft +. They call the glass a ‘pint’, it’s not possible to pour a pint into a 12 oz glass. Finally the food. We started with the antipasto platter and fries. It was sad – not at all sufficient for 2-3 (as claimed.) Much of the cheese was single slice only. The ham off the bone was cubed and obviously cut for pizza. The chips apparently had a ‘secret seasoning’ – I couldn’t identify any such thing – unless the black flakes of burntness qualify? They were overcooked. The pizza was nice enough – but nothing special. For the prices there are much better options, including the Fox ‘n’ Ferret – just next door.

Went to Cocopeli with 15 minutes left of happy hour left. The waiters conveniently waited until it had finished before coming to take orders. We ordered two pizzas and I was unimpressed with them. Both were very bland. Dissapointed with the very slow service and menu.

Went out for cousins birthday dinner here. Not much space itself but love their pizzas. Delicious and a variety to order. I ordered a small aloha pizza and it was yum.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but I do like the pizza. I’m not a fan of the layout of the place. Their salads are pretty lame and need more personality. The drinks are also overpriced.

Went here after the kitchen was closed so got pizza, was a bit disappointed, kinda average, nice place though, found a small hair in my pizza though, won’t go back anytime soon but still want to try a meal there though.
