Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night with 5 others. We shared a variety of entrees which were all delicious. For the main I had pork belly which was fabulous. The wine was placed in a wine bucket which was great. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, a little bit quirky with the fire roaring on a cold winters night. Parking is a dream as Sumner is a suburb as apposed to the city parking. The entrees were quite a while coming which was one of the few let downs. I would have liked to have been informed of the missing menu items before ordering them. But apart from that, the staff were excellent, very attentive but not to much. The water glasses were constantly refilled and wine was topped up regularly. I would have loved dessert but the creme brulee was sold out sob. Excellent experience and I will definately return.

Went out to Clink in Sumner last night for dinner. Fantastic night with really great staff who were able to find the perfect wine for me and a delicious beer for my husband. We shared the slow cooked lamb with a couple of sides which I thought were delicious. Baby beetroot with a blue cheese and walnuts and a side of charred broccoli with almonds and feta went really well with the lamb. Finished off with a brulee which we fortunately shared as was a really good size. Definitely a must visit, we will be back for sure!

Dropped in for brunch with a bunch of the girls. I ordered the Duck liver parfait with toasted ciabatta, cornichons and quince jelly. There was a generous serve of the gorgeous parfait but a bit mean with the Quince jelly. The two ladies looking after our table were both brilliant. They were lovely about getting a dish of water for my dog.

Great food and service. Tasty cocktails and mulled wine. Starters were good, especially the meatballs. Really recommend the akaroa salmon as a main. The lamb was also good. The frangipani tart was a nice finish as it was light and delicious

Very impressed with Clink Restaurant. We walked in off the street so had to sit outside but were looked after with a warm gas heater. The meals and service were excellent. Highly recommended. Would go back any time.

No booking – walk in off the street – warmly greeted although we entered first prior to another group and they were going to be served first but we did correct them.Had a bar table as the restaurant was packed and fully booked for the night. Had a choice of two. We sat in the corner.Had two mock tails – which were great way to have a little something special without having an alcoholic drink. Waitress did apologise for the delay in the drinks coming to the tableWe settled for the Shank Pizza – vegetarian and the pumpkin gnocchi. And a side order of shoestring fries and a garden salad.Well presented meals and very enjoyable. Tasty food. The pizza was exceptional. Good to see some restaurants offering a vegetarian choice of meals – more could be done. The waitress was extremely friendly – best I have seen in a long while. Made you feel really welcome and wanting you to have a great time.
