This review is for The Coffee Workshop branch on Antigua Street which is the only place resembling a coffee shop near my office. I hate to say it but I find the coffee terrible. I have visited four or five times and it’s not getting better. It always tastes extremely burnt and bitter. I’m not sure if this is the way they intend it to be but it’s not good. I think people who haven’t drunk a great deal of coffee might confuse the taste with it being strong. It’s not – it’s a terrible bitter flavour and I wish they would sort it out. There aren’t many good cafe’s in the central Christchurch area yet and this has a steady stream because of it’s location and the food looks pretty decent. Should any competition rise up, I’ll be going there. I won’t be going back for a recreational coffee and will only go for business meetings. Please make better coffee.
