Hands down the best vegetarian Indian meal I’ve ever had. I had the vegetable posht – try it. The work mates had various chicken and lamb dishes rating as a 4/5. Naan bread light and fluffy. Service friendly and we did t arrive until late in the evening (9.40pm) and they were happy to accommodate.

Biryani was full of food colour and does not taste good. The chicken is not cooked properly. Fish tikka was really nice for the starters and the vibe of the restaurant inside is good too. Bit over pricy though for the quality they are providing.

If you’re a vegetarian you should try mushroom fry. I normally don’t like mushrooms, but the dish they provided did change my opinion on mushrooms, I might just like them. Although I wish the music they were playing weren’t so loud hehe.

One of the worst restaurants in christchurch, unfriendly, rude, inhuman, they dont deserve to be in hospitality business. Being an Indian, they can even empathize with indians, its a shame!

Must visit for authentic Indian Food in New Zealand. Amazing Indian delicacies and gulab jamun is a must have. The ambience is also great and has great collection of Bollywood songs.

Was a date night and after our long South Island road trip we wanted to have something ethnic and Indian. Looking at all our options we went ahead with Coriander’s and to our suprise the place was massive and really well managed. We ordered garlic naan , dal makhni and chicken biryani. Note this is an expensive place and for a basic onion salad we paid $8 , not idle and disappointed. The food took 10 mint which was real fast and they had plain kashmiri rice as complimentary with dal.The reason i gave 3 and not 4 was due to the food and mix service from staff. The biryani was so spicy that i had tears in my eyes couldn’t have 2 bites, the rice was really done badly too so in the end i was hungry and compromised with wifes food share. When asked the biryani is not upto standard and looks more like a mix and matched pulav one of the waitress told me thats NZ style and you don’t expect same like India, sorry but we cant do much here. Luckily the one who replaced her Ikam if I remember her name , to give us the takeaway box was more logical and sensitive and was really smart to acknowledge and not charge me but over and above gave me an option to order anything of the menu as a value add. Wow that was good and we were amazed how she handled our disappointment and gave us something out of the box without asking. Please do go there as you might be lucky like us.

Went there today for dinner with some friends and basically had the waiter from hell. He was rude and obnoxious. I asked for a DIET Coke and he gave me a coke 0 and tried to tell me its the same thing – usually you get informed the restaurant has coke 0Then he was rude to my friend who asked him a simple Questionoh also the worst Seekh kebab I have had in Christchurch – it was dry and disgustingI’ll be sticking to Maharajas or Little IndiaAlso if it wasn’t for your extremely rude waiter – i would’t bother leaving a comment because your other dishes were good.
