Popped into Jaba as I had a craving for a decent steak. Went for the Ember Cooked Prime Steer Rib Eye. Presented really well with some delicious bone marrow on top. I guess to add some aromatic effect, they put a burning piece of rosemary on top. Looked interesting but the smoke out of it was not nice, no flavour, just burning carbon. The steak was nice but lacking a bit of seasoning I felt. But this is relatively subjective, I like my salt so it may have been perfect for others. Had a green salad on the side, was well put together but the horseradish dressing was weird. Would I return? Probably.
Nice restaurant down a cute little alley. Good service. I had the Wakanui 21 Days Aged Fillet and my parents shared the Prime Steer Tomahawk. Good but nothing amazing about the meals. Wine was good value for money.
