Went to dumpling shop in Colombo it used to be the best dumplings yesterday they were heavy and soy sauce had been watered down it was disgusting I asked about it and that is what they said they did seriously they were disgusting. Sharon
Came by with a large group and we just ordered tons of dumplings to share. We ordered a variety of different dumplings either fried or steamed. The problem was that they added sesame oil to everything so all the different dumplings pretty much tasted the same. I also found the wrapping to be too thick for the steamed dumplings. The Bao was quite nice. The dessert baos were interesting, nice to try but not sure if we would order it again.
Epic fail!! Worst dumplings I’ve ever tasted. This place is clean an hip so appeals to naive westerners. They charge stupid amounts which is fine if it’s good sadly it’s terrible, I’d drink a beer there but definitely wouldn’t eat there.
Been to this place many times but recently been disappointed by two order mix ups and the time taken to make and remake my order. Good dumplings but average customer service unfortunately.
This review is for the CBD site. I like to bring visitors to Christchurch here as it’s much cooler than any other dumping place they have ever been to. The food is good, the decor and atmosphere is great (love the booths to dine in and the hanging plants) and the staff are really helpful for those who don’t dumpling often.
So far I think there are better places to get nicer dumplings. Although I won’t rule this place out just yet as the wallpaper really appeals to me lol
