Had an unbooked dining experience here yesterday. We were the first diners in for the evening and were certainly made to feel welcome. Lovely ambiance with typical french music playing. My daughter upon seeing the outside cafe style seating on the balcony remarked, you could almost think you were in Paris. We enjoyed 3 courses each (there were 4 of us) my son enjoyed the escargo, my daughter and I had the goat cheese tart while my husband had scallops. They were all very nice and lovely in their presentation. For main course, I had the fish which smelled quite fishy but tasted perfect, it came with lentils and a garnish. My daughter had the vegetarian option ratatouille which she was hesitant to try, but loved it. My husband had a steak which was presented on a side table encased in some hard dough which they broke open creating a little theatre which was fun, and my son had duck which was cooked to perfection. We shared dessert the lemon coconut tart and chocolate salted caramel fondant, both were wonderful.So overall a very pleasing dining experience, the menu is small but includes all typical good french dining foods, the waiter was particularly good, knows his stuff and with the french accent, fits the bill perfectly.
