I have eaten some yummy dishes here, the crispy chicken is delicious. However I would like to see some vegetarian options on the menu. The steak and cheese curry, apparently surprisingly works well together according to my dad.
Great food. Straigt forward menu. Good service. Wifi access. The decor is a little spartan and fast food style, but the food was well prepared and the sashimi and nigiri were fresh.Prices were reasonable also.
I’m always left a little lacking with Hachi Hachi. They’re not at all bad, but they just don’t take top honours.Their curries are a little too robust in flavour, to the point where it detracts. Their dons are a little odd with the addition of lettuce and lemon. Their fried meats – tonkatsu, karaage are good, but their fried noodles (yaki soba, yaki udon) are far too saucy and wet. Sushi burgers are a novel menu item, tasty, and reasonably cheap. Their sushi is a little expensive, and not the best around. 2018 edit: Often takes twice as long to get your food vs the other outlets at Bush Inn. Price is getting pretty high too. Quality of food is still middle of the road, and not really worth the price.
The service was good. However the food was not as good as expected. The size of the dish was quite modest and would not be enough if one is hungry. The main problem is it was too salty, which did not happen to Japanese cuisine. Would not recommend it as a good Japanese restaurant. Only could be a have-to choice for a quick lunch if you can’t find anything else.
Great Japanese take away or eat in food at a good price, very tasty pork belly and everyone else loved their dishes to. Quick service and nice staff
