This place has my favorite Pho and rice paper rolls, my partner and I have tried ALL of the Vietnamese restaurants in Christchurch Pho and this one is THE one. Consistent, Friendly, Good price.
Stopped by for dinner and was greeted warmly into the place. There was quite a few items on the menu so it took us a while to pick some stuff. The waitress was understanding and gave us time to look some more but brought drinks in the meantime. We went with the pork and prawn pancake, satay chicken and caramelised pork belly with tofu. The pancake was crispy and delicious. i wasn’t a fan of the satay because it didn’t have the right taste but the pork belly was also quite good. The portions here are decent so quite good for the price (around $20).Nice restaurant but we did have to traverse a bit from the University to get here.
Very friendly owner, made excellent recommendations. Food quality superb, prices a bargain. Cheap and cheerful, you can’t go wrong 🙂 my first time here, def be back!
One of my favourite go-tos! The owners are always very friendly and can explain the menu very well (although I’m Vietnamese, sometimes I just need a little reminders). My favourite would be bánh cuốn and bún nem nÆ°á»›ng (steamed rice paper with pork mince and combination vermicelli salad). The portions are huge, as pointed out by other reviewers.
My husband and I love this little restaurant. However we have a TIP! Only order the Vietnamese dishes. We like number 99, the combination Salad with meat and spring roles. It’s more than a meal and for only $10 a total bargain.
Pleasantly surprised as the interior was a little asian rustic to say the least , staff where friendly and food was good. Not fabulous , but tasty, fresh and good value. Hubby was happy as they have Tiger beer, his favourite and food did not take long to arrive. We had three mains shared between 3 of us and almost didn’t need the rice. Vegetable dish was lovely and I would go back to have it again.
This is a great restaurant. Don’t come if you want silver service and latest decor, but if you want stunning vietnamese food at a really good price, then come and I guarantee you will come back again. Service is fast and portions are generous. One of our favorite restaurants in Christchurch.
