Driving through to Kaikoura my wife persuaded me to stop for coffee here and we were both pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee. Easily up there with that provided in bigger towns.
Friendly service, with good ‘crack’, to use the Irish vernacular. Excellent snacks, good coffee and a great place to chill out.Don’t expect the Ritz, as this is a cafe, coffe stop over. That’s all, but they do it so well.

Had read about the pies and coffee on TripAdvisor so decided to break out afternoon drive at Brenda’s. Glad we did. Pies were tasty and hot with a good selection available. Coffee was just as I ordered and also hot. Keep up the good work!
Scenic drive from Kaikoura to Hanmer Sorings, this is the best place to get coffee (good coffee) and a snack. Date scones were good but also hot pies available. Sat outside on a glorious day. Quiet and friendly.
Good old fashioned dairy style cafe with fantastic prices and coffee. The homemade sausage roll was to die for and kids ice cream scoops are fantastic value.
