Black Estate is a family owned, organic winery restaurant in North Canterbury. It was awarded and retains two hats by Cuisine in 2017 and has luxury B & B on the property. The views over the vineyard to the Southern Alps are stunning. Organic and spray free local food is served with Black Estate's organic & biodynamic wines. Open 10am - 4pm, 7 days a week (check website for winter hours). This is a peaceful and unique experience.Details

Between the food, service and scenery, I could not find anything wrong with this place. Food that is not mainstream but well planned and presented, also tastes superb. We will be back.

We went here for lunch. The staff were very pleasant and nothing seemed a problem. The food was very good and the wines great also. Not a cheap luncheon but the view and everything else. Made it worth it. Would definitely return
