This place is amazing and very filling! The design of the restaurant is so cute and cosy and the karage chicken is a must try. Also the dessert ice cream floats are probably the best dessert you can get in Christchurch.

I’m so glad this place exists in Christchurch, it shows that Japanese food isn’t all refined, and clean sushi, sashimi etc. The food is comforting, and hearty, with many dishes combining western aspects to the food. As mentioned below, it reminds me of a Japanese, and more importantly edible version of Denny’s, you certainly won’t find this place in the metropol magazine! Service is friendly, and casual, appropriately matching the food.
The cute restaurant it’s built in a round shaped, so we can listen to anyone’s conversation in the restaurant no matter where they/we sit. Hahaha..Just be careful of what we say, I’m sure most of customers that have been here have enjoyed their friendly service & food 🙂 I live nearby, so they might see me quite often I think and one day they’ll be able to recognise me 😛 Friendly for kids to be around because it’s a family restaurant~
Nice selection of Japanese casual dining food. Price is reasonable. Good portions. Always been a fan of Japanese curry so this will be a regular stop for me!
